Or even better, TextEdit is actually a pretty capable RTF editor covering the basics like bold/italic/underline, left/center/right justification, font types and sizes... Which is really about all the more 75%+ of people really need in a word processor. Another option would be Google Docs, which is aimed largely at people with netbooks, even though the Air kind of blurs the line between netbook and laptop. The additional capabilities of Pages, MS Word, LibreOffice Writer, or almost anything else you can name, would be wasted.
Also, to echo the statements already made: Why is it you aren't just using whatever is provided with the blog software? That's the only way you're going to be absolutely sure there are no formatting issues. Trying to copy and paste or import content from any other source is only going to increase the odds of there being some kind of issue.
