Mac laptops forum: Is macbook pro gonna be replaced in 2011 and design change

there will definitely be a probability that maybe? Do you even look at what you write? What does that even mean? Looks like you have no clue what you're talking about and you're just speculating. If that's the case why not just say so? Or in your answer include detail of past data points or benchmarks which support your speculation?

especially when it comes to upcoming Apple releases/upgrades/new products.

Rather like the date that Apple will/will not/might release an iPhone on Verizon.
That's been going on for 18 months, at least, with some of the best "insiders" giving us the truth, aka guessing.

Would you answer me, is Apple gonna be replaced MacBook Pro 13" to another size like 14", we like the small size 13 include beast mean of portability.

Do you know weather Apple gonna to make MacBookPro 2011 include touchscreen like iPhone

The reason why i say no touchscreen is based on the new macbook air and how the developers all stated that having a touchscreen on a laptop that is not a tablet is uncomfortable (based on their studies) therefore im guessing no touchscreen

What they probably will have is a new line of macbook pro's in time to be released with their new Mac OS X Lion by mid summer 2011. that may seem to be a long time span from the previous upgrades they have done (around 8 months before a new upgrade on previous MBP's and around 10 months on the last one) so this one must just be that much better, who knows?

I think that they'll have a smaller size for this model it'll probably cost a little more because i think apple is going to try to experiment with the flash based memory a little more than just the macbook air. maybe something like a crossover, a flash based 'hard-drive' (if i can even call it that anymore) for the "instant on" they're all hyped about on the macbook air and a real harddrive for actual processing and storing of information.

What i am hoping for in this 'new' macbook pro:
1) lighter models
2) even more battery life
3) keep the same display sizes (13, 15, 17)
- the 13" because i am a student and i need something light, the 15" doesn't fit on the little tables they have in our classes
4) same or lower prices on the models
5) NO SHARP CORNERS

All i can say is, save up money and wait for the new one, as much as i want to buy one now, its just been too long to wait for an upgrade and i think they should release one soon enough. maybe they'll release it in time for the holidays, cutting it short on the whole 'waiting for mid summer 2011' thing i was saying before, but i'm just a hopeful guy.

There is no MacBook Wheel, that was a joke story by The Onion. Everything on The Onion is a joke, that's what the site is, it makes fun of real news stories by creating funny exaggerated versions of them. In this case, the joke was taken as serious by a couple of people, and then they became part of the joke.

And the MacBook Air is kind of the redheaded stepchild of the whole MacBook line. It gets refreshed maybe once a year, while the others are 2-3X a year. There a real pain to work on/repair too. Lots of tiny little screws. I do loads of display replacements because I get all kinds of demo units in with broken hinges. I don't think sales of the Air have been what Apple was hoping for, but at the same time have been good enough not to kill the line altogether.

The MBA is thin, light, and quiet, but that's about it. There's about zero upgrade capacity, it's under powered, you have a SINGLE USB port that's kind of awkward to use, the charging port is also kind of in an awkward place (though I admit that's a side effect of the thing being so thin... There's just nowhere else to put the charging port), and it's expensive. I think the new MBA has a couple of extra USB ports. I haven't had a chance to really look into it.

The new 11" MBA costs about the same as the MacBook which has a bigger screen, bigger HDD, more RAM, etc. So unless you spend most of your life in airplanes and airports, where every bit of weight you can shed is important, it's not really worth the money IMO. A MacBook only weighs a little more, has better specs, and costs the same.
