It usually happens when your computer is busy doing something and its main cause is "usually" a shortage of RAM, although a hard drive that is very full can cause it too.
As you have not felt it necessary to tell us what computer you have or its specifications, we can only give you a ballpark reason for this happening.
It is not unusual, doesn't indicate that there is something wrong with your machine and should give you no concern.
It is highly probable that increasing the amount of RAM in your computer will help it go away, or at least not be as frequent.
