First things first... It's Mac not MAC. MAC would refer to a unique identifying code for networking devices, Mac would be shorthand for Macintosh, which is a line of computers made by Apple.

There's really only one thing to need to consider when deciding between Mac or PC, and then Windows or say Linux. That one thing is whether or not the app(s) you want to run are available on that platform. It may be able to do just about everything else, short of make you toast in the morning, but if it doesn't run one or two critical apps you need, what good is it?

In your case, it sounds like Quickbooks is that one crucial app, so you'll need to see if A) there's a Mac version and B) if it can hold a candle to the Windows version. Sometimes there are Mac versions which are pale imitations of their Windows cousins, and then there are times where the Mac version outshines the Windows versions by a long shot (MS Office 2004 v MS Office 2003 comes to mind). If the Mac version is roughly on par with the Windows version then you can work your way down the list of other things you're interested in.

Ultimately, since you can install Windows on a Mac these days, the Mac would give you the broadest set of options, but there's not a lot of point in paying a premium for a Mac if you're just going to run Windows on it and nothing else.
