mac mini will not power on

Several months ago.... came home and mini was powered off and would not turn back on.
I have replaced the unit but would like to try to revive the old one if possible.

I have read this article which didn't seem to help..

I have replaced the ram with its original dimms. Still no good.
I have also removed both the dvd and hard drive.
Would be happy if i could atleast get the white light and mac sound... but nothing.

Any other ideas ?

I also checked the on board battery which is still running at 3v

Do you know for a fact that the AC Power adapter is working correctly?
Not just showing a light and pushing out nothing worth talking about?

That would be the first place to start but you didn't mention it.

Yes sorry I did not mention.
1. I borrowed one at the Apple store, still no power.
2. Tried the one I have from new mini, still no power

Remove battery,

and disconnect all power from the mini.
Give it 20 minutes, insert battery, AC adapter and attempt to power up

???

Still Nothing :(

I removed the battery let it sit not plugged into anything. Then put the battery, then plugged in power -- still nothing

Suspect a logic board problem

Having ruled out the power supply, the only thing left that controls power is the logic board.
Removing the AC power and the battery for a period of time, resets the board.

No improvement would indicate a problem there.
