Technology Help!!

Would it be possible to manipulate a breathalyzer and attach it to a lock such that the lock would not open/ or would open when someone breathed a certain BAC. If so, how would one go at this? What would i need besides a breathalyzer???? I own a breathalyzer if a picture of it is needed just ask

I'm guessing you watched one of last series of "Aliens" where they used breath and biometrics to unlock things. While possible the more common iris and finger scanners will result in a ready to use solution.

C'mon Bob. LOL

For the poster, automobiles have this exact technology today to prevent a too high BAC driver from starting a car . Quite extensive and complex if I remember. You might do some Googling in this area.

No one around me has a drinking problem and when I use an acronym the first time I try to remember to spell it out.

you would need a device with a porcessor and software to allow the lock to open connected between or contained in the lock or breathalyzer.
