somewhere I lost the ability to view videos in a full screen mode . my os system is XP pro , my computer is generic

screen gets large but no video is showing . I tend to think its a graphic's problem , by the way I can go full screen on HULU . I was hoping there is a trick to make it work on You Tube and other sites
No trick required but a setting.
