IPAD PROBLEM

My IPad is not downloading email or internet searches. The circle just keeps spinning, and the word Loading continues with nothing happening. What can I do? Also I cannot get it to turn off except by closing the cover.

use itunes to reset your ipad if you cant fix it. it's quick and easy
