How can I watch movies + shows on a tv thru a cellphone plan

Hi. I want to drop my cable tv service and connect my smartphone to my tv to watch movies and shows. I also have a cellphone plan with unlimited data. I know it's possible with by tethering a cellphone as a wifi hotspot and connecting it to the tv, but is there a way to do this without the computer in the setup?

Can you give me info on hardware (cables, adapters, etc.) and software I would need? Thanks in advance.

If your phone turns into a WiFi hotspot then you can add WiFi o the TV with either Roku, Revue or other.

HOWEVER my bet is the bandwidth for cellular data is not there. And even if your plan says unlimited I don't have to remind you of the usual fine print.
