Need help to move image in Gimp to print higher on page

Hello CNET Community:

I am using GIMP, which is a free program that is similar to PHOTOSHOP. I want to be able to print an image I have so that it will print higher on my 4 x 6 glossy photo paper. The layout is in Portrait. I tried all kinds of stuff and it keeps printing too low on the 4 x 6 paper. I do not want to change the size/scale of the image, that is fine. Does anyone out there know what the steps are to get an image to print higher up on the paper. Thank You! : - )

Use Image/Canvas size menu option to change the size of the canvas and position the picture by dragging the picture or changing the Offset parameters.
