Within the past few weeks Yahoo search engine has "hijacked" Google search, which has been my default when using Firefox. I have Windows 7. I have tried every "fix" suggested online, including deleting Yahoo every place I can find it, including Registry and Control Panel. I have also tried the recommendations regarding keyword.URL under about:config. I have used Viper, PC Health Advisor, PC Tools Privacy Guardian and Speedy PC Pro in an attempt to find and remove virus, worm or malware. No success. I would appreciate your recommendations.

With ALL due respect, I would be more concerned about Speedy PC Pro and PC Health Advisor on my system, then I would a hijacked search engine. Both have been known to cause problems. But then again, it's not what you asked or why you posted.
If you wish to try another scanner, why not give Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware or SUPERAntiSpyware a try? They both offer free versions. I'm not totally convinced a malware scanner will find it, but it's worth a try.
You say you tried every fix online. There are many places it could be hiding. For instance, did you search the URL's in Firefox's browser history folder, to make sure "search.yahoo.com" isn't there?

I did search the URL and there was no "search.yahoo.com". I did find under "browser.search.param.yahoo-fr". I could find no way to delete it or successful way to disable it. I finally went to the Firefox profile folder and clicked on the restore Firefox default button. The search engine is once again Google. I have nothing against Yahoo per se. I just prefer Google for most searches. Thanks for your help.

I agree with you. Nothing against Yahoo, but Google is (also) my preference.
