How do I split audio from video on OTA?

I have a standard "rabbit ears" antenna that i want to have video feed to TV but run audio through my stereo. Its an older stereo but has RCA connections so i just need to know what do I need to buy to slit the coax signal from the antenna into RCA outputs? And where do I connect video in and still be able to change channels?

You can't "split" the audio off the incoming TV signal

The video and audio are combined into one Radio Frequency signal that needs a receiver to do its magic and separate the two and output them to the correct locations on your TV. You didn't mention what the TV was or its age.

Best bet would be to find if your TV had any Audio Out ports, likely RCA ones, that would enable you to move the Audio into your Stereo.
Then you just Mute the speakers on the TV.
Channel changing would be exactly the same as you change channels right not.

Do you get a good Digital signal off the Rabbit Ears antenna? Since all the TV stations moved up the frequency band and started broadcasting Digital Signals, Rabbit Ears have kinda gone the way of the Dodo.
Are you using a Digital Converter box with that TV?

Many TVs have audio out jacks so it could be as easy as a cable from that to your stereo. But without the TV make model no one can see if they can find the manual.

Better yet, you could supply that manual!
