how do I correct a keyboard key that does not activate

if i press the key "O" hard it will print but not always show on the monitor screen
capital or lower case does not make a difference
I took the key pad cover off the key and cleaned the vacuumed surface underneath did not resolve.
do i need to open up the back of the key board and attempt to additional cleaning at the circuit board underneath?

all other keys work well

and not a keyboard on a laptop, rather than mess with it and probably not fix it, just replace it.

They are very cheap.
