I provide eldercare for my father-in-law. He has glaucoma and has difficulty seeing anything but larger text. The main issue I would like a solution for is his hearing. He is deaf in one ear and has 5% hearing in the other. I would like to give him a larger tablet or laptop that would display text that he can read. I would connect a microphone to the device to provide the input to a speech to text application. Am I on the right track or is there a simpler solution.
It has to be simple; the gentleman is 92 years young and not tech savvy. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
