I'm away from my iMac for 2 mos. Have access to Toshiba lap top, w/o iTunes. I have my iPad & iPhone with me. Can I down load Lion--I have an iCloud account--to either my Pad or Phone--and then have icloud wireless synch to all 3 components?

there is no version of Lion for the iPad or iPhone.

However, if your iMac is turned on and you already have an iCloud account, all your devices will remain in sync.

Even if you iMac is turned off, once you turn it back on again, it will sync.

Am I missing something here? Like you wanting to install Lion on the Toshiba? (That's also a No but for completely different legal reasons)

Thanks for info.
Toshiba was FYI. NOT leaving Apple.
My iMac is off at home. Will want til I get home to download. If. When I turn it on and all are synced, do I need iCloud? And Lion download?

it is a service.
Get yourself a MobileMe account, they're free, log into it via the System Preferences pane and you are good to go.
When you get home, do the same for the iMac and you are set

To create a free iCloud account, you must have either an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 5 or a Mac with OS X Lion 10.7.2.
That answers the Lion download question for the iMac, does your iPad/iPhone both have iOS5?
