Why are my monitors showing up as Analog in the Display Mgr?

I have 2 identical LCD monitors, one connected to a desktop pc with PCI connection and one connected to my laptop's RGB port. Before I got the desktop and connected the monitor to the laptop I could run a game like Assassin's Creed on my laptop, no problem. Now I have to do really low display settings. I have Catalyst display mgr on both and it shows the display name and then has "(Analog)" right behind it. How do I get it to be digital instead?

DVI or HDMI = HD , VGA= analog.
