Linking two buildings with internet/wifi

I want to provide wifi or internet in a second structure on our property; they are about 150 apart with some oaks in the way. The target structure is a new building with foil-backed insulation in the walls and radiant-reflecting windows that completely block wifi; wifi can be received on the exterior deck. The two houses have separate electric meters so using something like D-Link DHP-501AV PowerLine AV 500 Adapter Starter Kit may not be useful.

I hope that someone has ideas that I can use. Thanks!!!

You could either string it from poles or bury it in the ground like the telephone cables are.

Just need a switch on each end and you are good to go.

Wireless is an option but at that distance, would that be 150 feet, yards, meters or what, you would need something more directional (and expensive) than the average wireless router.

Ethernet above ground will be vulnerable to lightning, squirrels, weather elements and more. The job would require trenching down to about 1 foot and the cable should be encased in waterproof conduit. PVC should work fine.

Outdoor antennas

Although the buildings themselves may block the signal, the antennas do not need to be in the building. If you purchase routers that allow external antennas, you should be able to route it such that the antenna is outdoors even if the router is not. If you place the antenna outdoors, do be cautious of placing it in a place that will attract lightning, also it is easier to seal a wall than a roof against moisture, so it may be best to mount the antennas on the walls closest to each other.
