Internet links don't work

When I click on most links in the internet, I go to a blank page. Most times I can right click and copy shortcut to get the link. I have tried to download CNET programs this way and it does not work. Supposedly, there is no virus according to Norton. This started happening shortly after Megaupload was charged. I had downloaded from that site. Is this some kind of internet punishment or am I being paranoid?

Try IEFIX from http://windowsxp.mvps.org/iefix.htm

If that doesn't help, other solutions are:
- use another browser (like Firefox or Chrome)
- uninstall your current version of IE (only possible if it's higher than the original one) and reinstall it, or install a higher version

Thanks.
IEFIX did not work.
Uninstalling and reinstalling did not work.
Changed to Google Chrome and everything works fine so far.
Thanks a million for the help.

Internet Explorer > Tools > Advanced

Hit the reset button.

You do not have to delete your cookies, just a plain reset may work for you.

Worth a try
