Installing WIndows 7 on a Macbook Air

So I followed the cnet tutorial on installing windows (http://howto.cnet.com/8301-11310_39-20020513-285/install-win-7-on-macbook-air-from-a-usb-drive/?tag=content;siu-container) but I keep getting an error once I boot form my usb drive. I can't get past the step where you choose the partition. I get the following error: "Windows cannot be installed to this disk. This computer's hardware may not support booting to this disk. Ensure that the disk's controller is enabled in the computer's BIOS menu."

Anybody know whats going on?

Windows does not support booting from USB.

Instead I suggest you use Apple's BootCamp to do this and only drives inside the laptop can be installed to.

External HD?

I was getting this error message when I was trying to bootcamp on my Mac Mini today. I had an extra USB HD attached aside from the flash drive I was using to install Windows from (given the min's don't have DVD drives these days) restarted the windows installer and it worked like a charm.
