updating old CD-ROMS??

I have a great CD-ROM that was bought ages ago and will not play on Mac OS.X Minimum requirements for Mac: processor 68030; systeme 7.0 or higher. Is there any update/modifyication I can do (to the CD-ROM or my desktop) for the CD-ROM to play on OS.X?

What CD-ROM? What happens when you try to play it?

Personally, I only play music or games from a CD. Never the CD itself.
