I did an update to AVG free edition and a trial full version was installed for 30 days instead without permission. After 30 days I was going to buy the full version for $39. During the 30 days My computer froze several times and the mouse was lost many times. The only way to resolve the problems were to shut down the computer manually. AVG asked if I noticed how fast my computer was running now -I did not see any change in speed.I have used the free Avg for about 4 years with no virus problems and was very pleased with the product. I do need a more secure anti-virus because I travel more now. Because of the new problems of AVG I removed it and installed free Avast on a 30 day trial. Cnet has given this program a great review. The only problem was when I clicked on Avast download from Cnet it brought me to Aro antivirus download. I had to go directly to Avast web page to download. Installation was fast and so far my computer is running smoothly with no problems .I will buy the full version if I find it works well.
