** Chkdsk cannot run during computer startup **

You may have experienced difficulties with Chkdsk scheduled to run during computer startup if AVG 2013 is installed. Developers prepared fix which was released in the new update of AVG 2013. Please update your AVG to version 2013.0.2677 to resolve this issue. Do not hesitate to contact us in this thread or contact AVG Customer Care experts if you face any difficulties.


** Total Objects Scanned: 0 **

Some users reported that AVG Scan ends with Total Objects Scanned: 0. We are still investigating root cause of this issue, which seems to be caused by a corrupted access rights. ** New AVG PC TuneUp. **

Brand new version of AVG PC TuneUp was released recently. New AVG PC TuneUp makes computer and Windows optimization easier, extends your battery life, help find and fix the gaps and errors that cause your PC problems and more. This version uses new format of the license number therefore it is not possible to activate it with your current (used in previous versions of AVG PC TuneUp) one. It is necessary to generate compatible license number which can be used for activation. Compatible license numbers are generated only on users request. Please contact Sales department directly or AVG Customer Care experts to start using new AVG PC TuneUp.


** AVG Firewall blocking Guild Wars 2 **

We have prepared guide for allowing Guild Wars 2 in AVG Firewall. It is necessary to create Firewall system rule allowing outgoing communication on ports 80, 443, 6112, 6600. Guide with detailed instructions and screenshots is available here.

** System slowed down? **

After installing an in-background-running software, like the antivirus, the system is to be expected to slow down as more system resources are being used continuously. While the slowdown is not apparent on new computers, it may be noticeable on slightly older systems. We strongly recommend checking hardware requirements before installing similar software. AVG's minimal and recommended system configuration can be found in this forum post.
Also, please note that running more resident security applications often slows the system down. It is recommended to use only one resident (on-access) security software. If you would like to install additional software, make sure to install only the on-demand components. Having more resident security modules running may even cause trouble when removing a detected infection, at the end of the day.
