Internet connection problem after uninstalling AVG

Hi, I had installed the free one month trial of AVG in my laptop. After it expired I uninstalled it but that's when the problems started. Now, when I try to install any software from the internet (let's say IE, iTunes, RealPlayer, or any setup file that needs to connect to the internet) it says that there is no internet connection.
Is there any issue with the uninstall? Does anybody knows how to fix this issue?

Please follows this AVG Forums article and let us know, whether the Internet connectivity is restored.
If not, please provide us also with an msinfo output for analysis.

The AV most likely was no fully uninstalled, try AppRemover. It's free and documents what AVs can be uninstalled, by OS, by bit architecture (32/64) and AV version.
