Hello CarmenSD,
If none of the procedures helped, please describe the issue in AVG Forums. Moderators will ask you for diagnostic data from your computer in order to analyze the situation thoroughly (this forum does not support file attachments). Please make sure to mention exact version of the operating system installed and which browsers are affected.
Thank you.

i had this stuck on my pc and i tried everythin nothin worked then i found this now its gone
Google Chrome:
1. Click 'Customize and control Google Chrome' icon -> go 'Tools' -> 'Extensions' -> Select 'IncrediBar" and remove.
2. Click 'Customize and control Google Chrome'. Select 'Settings' -> 'Manage search engine' and choose 'Google', 'Bing' or other to make it your default search engine. Don't forget to remove MyStart Search.
3. Click the wrench icon on the browser toolbar -> go 'Settings' and select 'Show Home' button under the 'Appearance' tab. Change the startpage.
IE:
1. Open IE -> go 'Tools' -> 'Manage Add-ons' -> 'Search Providers" -> choose 'Bing' or other search engine to make it your default web search provider. Also remove MyStart Search, Incredibar Search and anything what is related to Incredibar.
2. Go 'Tools' -> 'Internet Options' -> 'General tab' -> enter your own start page, like google.com instead of http://mystart.incredibar.com. Click OK to save the changes.
Mozilla Firefox:
1. Open Mozilla Firefox -> go 'Tools' -> 'Add-ons' -> 'Extensions' and remove IncrediBar* toolbar. Close the window.
2. Launch Mozilla Firefox -> click on the magnifying glass -> 'Manage Search Engines...' -> click on 'MyStart by Incredibar' -> 'Remove' -> OK to save changes.
3. Go 'Tools' -> 'Options' -> change the homepage under the 'General' tab. Then, in the URL address bar, type about:config and click 'Enter' -> select 'I'll be careful, I promise!' -> type mystart in the 'Search' section. Now you should see the preferences that were changed by IncrediBar toolbar. Right click on every preference and select 'Reset'.

Get your antivirus program up to date and boot into Safe Mode. Note that some viruses can hide themselves from your antivirus program in normal mode, so you really need to scan in Safe Mode. To get into Safe Mode when you first power up, hit F8 about once a second until you get the menu and select Safe Mode. Then run a full system scan.

I don't have quite the expertise as many of you fine gentleman that have posted here, and I thank you for the great advice.
As I was was looking through the files and folders on my C drive I and found a site.js file that was loaded with incredibar links. I deleted the file, and did an about:config again in Firefox and to my delight incredibar was gone!

To remove it takes lots of trial and error. IM running win 7 and chrome. Avast and spybot have each removed the files transferred them to vaults but still persists. I first removed Mystart from the add/remove progs in control panel. Ran spybot but four entries couldnt be removed. Then went through prog files x86 removed all 'incredibar' files and found a sneaky one called Perion? (unfortunately cant read my own writing soz). Then trotted on down to internet setting in the control panel. Set home page to blank, then clicked on Search defaults settings just under aforementioned home page box. Removes on option that read incredibar but cannot remove a second option listed 'MySearchStart' -_- I then went into chrome and clicked the wrench in the top right corner then clicked settings then scroll down to the bottom click the blue 'advanced' settings link and make sure Phishing malware blocker is enabled. So far it hasnt come back but this is the third time i have removed the wee blighter. Hope this helps someone, also death do divvy 'anarchist' coders thinking there straight up g's, *whispers* the hackers hate our freedom!

Incredibar.com is a persistent "virus"/website redirector , normally found with Firefox addons like babylon.
To completely remove it.
Search for *.js files on your computer Check the user.js and any other files in the user computer.
If in doubt check : http://kb.mozillazine.org/Firefox_:_FAQs_:_About:config_Entries.
Use the text editor to delete entries for incredibar in all the *.js files
Use the regedit32 to find all keys ,values, data entries with incredibar in them and delete those
after logging in in safe mode delete the incredibar.com program files after doing a file and directory search.
After this restart your computer and do a registry editor check with something like eusing registry repair and repair all entries that are not needed now.
This should remove the incredibar

Its nice, but too distracting under the circumstances. How can I concentrate on what the video is showing when that is playing. If possible that the music can not be silenced, can you text the removal information for Firefox? Thanks
Was it this easy?

Aside from my previous comment about the distracting music with the aforementioned video showing how to remove incredible toolbar, I went directly to my Add/remove ( Control Panel ) and removed it from there. It warned me that once it is removed, my browser would close and asked me if that is alright. I said yes. I got the completed message in a few seconds, and pressed the Close button...BUT, my browser never closed. as it said it would. I new section appeared with the title "MonTiera" Faq...now what would that be all about? Anyone know? You may get rid of one toolbar and another comes along? Was getting rid of incredible toolbar as simple as i just did? I've been reading here from most users on how difficult it is to get rid of it.
Finially got rid of it.

Problem with Incrdibar crap and it installs itself in browser on script level. So after uninstalling Incredibar related software, toolbar and adding, you have to look into .js files in your browser directory. I found about 10 of them, most vicious code in user.js which has to be cleaned first because it resets Incredibar as default sratup page/new tab.

Well, i did a search and the only user that came up was in my C drive. Sure enough, I opened it up and had about 6 lines mentioning incredible bar. I deleted all of them, except the folder itself, which is empty as of now...we will see if it worked. Thanx

I highly recommend NOD32 they recently did a update which protects against MyStart Incredibar Search, I also recommend Webroot Spysweeper, Sadly this both cost money so if your not in the option to spend funds on buying anyone of these then you can check out http://www.bybe.net/blog/removing-mystart-incredibar-search-from-firefox.html for manual chrome and firefox removals - I'm not sure if they have a page for IE but the registery entries removal process should knock it out for all browsers technically.
I'm gonna buy spysweeper to avoid getting it back, getting infected is such a hassle.

I also had this problem. On the browser (Chrome) on the upper right hand corner click on the icon which says = Customize and control google chrome. Click on SETTINGS, SEARCH, manage search engines, OPEN. Highlight the MyStart incredibar, and to delete, click on the X . Also delete with the help of an UNINSTALLER like REVO.
Figured it out

For Chrome:
Click on control button in browser (indicated by the wrench in the top right corner)
Hover your cursor over Tools and select Extensions
Remove the Google Tab extension (ICON is an orange magnifying glass)
Viola!
This is what I did...or something like it

I don't know if it was associated, but I also ended up with another program called 1ClickDownloader. I removed that. If there was a program in my control panel uninstall programs list, I removed it.
Removed some file called Perion, which I read somewhere online (maybe even this thread) that said it was associated. I had also removed any residual folders called Incredibar or MyStart.
I changed my default search engine in Google Chrome. Managed Add-ons.
Deleted Chrome, because when I ran Task Manager, MyStart showed up and when I opened the file location, it was my Google application.
Used IE. Managed add-ons there where Bing and MyStart showed up in the Search Providers. Removed MyStart.
I opened msconfig from start menu, as delineated in a MS KB for cleaning up the registry. Basically, I did a selective start, but it didn't seem to make a difference, possibly having removed all files associated with it.
I'm still a little afraid that it's still there, but I reinstalled Chrome and it seems fine.

I'm not a computer expert but I got incredibar & other nasty malware on my computer & took it to a PC repair guy. He actually failed to fix it but he gave me a very simple tip which enabled me to fix it myself. (This is after I spent many hours trying other people's online tips which failed to work.) Basically, you switch on your computer & before you get the log on prompt you hit F8 which gives you the option to repair your computer. Then you simply choose option to restore your computer to an earlier point, select a date BEFORE the malware installed & let it run. (This may take quite a long time & should NOT be interrupted.) When it finishes running it will have restored your computer to a point before the malware installed. It's that easy, & in my case it worked.
Removing Incredibar from Chrome

We looked in the Control Panel > Install Program but Incredibar was not there in any form. In doing a search for Incredibar's file I couldn't delete them manually either.
I was able to remove it from Chrome's Settings > Search > Manage Search Engines but it still showed up as the default tab.
I ALSO had to remove it as the default tab by removing all Cookies and changing the Settings > On Startup and changing "Open a specific page or set of pages. Set pages".
After these steps I did another search for Incredibar files just to make sure it was gone and that was it.
Hope this helps.
