Help My AVG has disappeared!

I bought AVG for 2 years on 5th December '10. It has been doing the daily sweep ok, then I noticed the other day it had stopped doing it. The icon has disappeared from the tray. I tried to contact AVG via their website but need the licence number which I can't get as it's vanished. I have checked the add and remove programmes and it is still there. As are the icons via start > programmes etc, but when I click on them nothing happens! I'm stuck and don't know what to do next! help!

Retrieve license number

Without your license number you will not be able to reinstall AVG.

Please retrieve it using this form:
http://www.avg.com/ww-en/license-retrieval

Afterwards try contact our support again:
http://www.avg.com/ww-en/customer-support

AVG still not working

I have retrieved my licence number and tried to reinstall the AVG but it keep saying 'stopping' and won't complete the reinstallation. Thanks.
