AVG FREE 2011 won't install

I get this message Error: @AvgErrorCode_0x0253 %FILE% = "C:\Program Files\AVG\AVG8"
@AvgErrorCode_0x0020
and AVG 8.5 won't uninstall either from avg download site ADD \
REMOVE programs or the AVG program option uninstall avg 8.5

AVG 2011 won't isntall

I as well can't get the new free version of AVG 2011 to install. On top of this, it has completely destroyed the previous version of AVG, and my computer's ability to restore to a previous point. I'm really annoyed!! This version of AVG has seriously screwed up my computer! Oh, and I have tried to re-do the installion multiple times without effect. I would like to know how to get this fixed. If anyone could help me that would be great.

Hello ssuark,

please follow AVG 2011 + 9.0+8.x Uninstall / Re-Install Instructions carefully (involving avgremover).

In case of further installation issues, please provide us (by uploading to some online storage service) with AVG installation log files for analysis.
How To Gather Installation Log Files
