Anti Spam folder in Outlook Express does not work

I am on windows xp and have avg 9 installed ( i paid for it but insure if that is now on new pc or if pc people only put on free version?- how do i check this? ).

In outlook express there is a spam folder, but no spam ever goes in it - it all goes to my inbox which defeats the purpose.
Please can you help with above 2 points

Hello,

Please be informed that AVG can only move detected spam in MS Outlook with respective plugin installed.

For Outlook Express it can only mark spam emails by changing their subject. Adding [SPAM] by default.

You can create a rule to move all emails with [SPAM] keyword to spam folder as described:

About Paid/Free, you can tell that by looks of AVG Interface.
Doubleclick on AVG Tray icon.
If there is AVG Free in left upper corner it is free, if there is anything else it is paid version.
