Then please check the AVG installation with AVG full installation file - direct link http://free.avg.com/download-file-ins-afg-free - instead of the download manager version to check, if installation will be then successful.

if the computer still reports this infection, please check these files and if exists, pack them in an archive (zip file, password protected) and send it to virus@avg.com for closer analysis

After reading about you using the MalwareBytes (nice move), since it's gone, let me suggest a "safe-mode" a/v when "nothing else" seems to work... *ComboFix* is an "executable" that is *designed* to run in SAFE-MODE, and From The Desktop Only.

Only use it (click on it) when you "can do nothing else" w/ your *current A/V* .
