AVG forum: AVG free for 64 bit Vista

No where in the reply post does there indicate there is a 64 bit version. It just provides a link. It doesn't say it will work on a 64 bit operating system. I've looked all through these forums and I haven't actually found anything that describes or points to a download for a 64 bit version. Not to mention that most of the answers I see on this forum are vague.

Can someone specifically answer the question? Is there a 64 bit version of AVG free for Windows 7 (64 bit) or Vista (64 bit)? If there is, can you provide a specific link for this?

Also you need to start listing 2 separate downloads on the product pages. One for 32 bit and one for 64 bit.

It simply won't install on 64 bit Windows 7 and that is why people are asking about this. I tried several times unsuccessfully...it doesn't say that is why it won't install, but I finally figured it out. I searched for a 64 bit version and looked at the link it gave me when the installations failed, but they gave no helpful information...just took me back to the site for downloading. I needed to remove a trojan, so I tried Avast since someone on one of the forums I was searching suggested it. It looked like it installed, but it didn't. When I right clicked the icon to look at compatibility, it said it was a non-compatible product. Then I went to ESET and was able to install it and remove the trojan, but that is a temporary fix since it is a 30 day evaluation version. Maybe the staff at AVG should investigate this instead of just telling people it will work, because it won't.
