Frequent laptop fan noise

Hi, I got a new Samsung laptop a few days and apart from the first day I had it the fan has been coming on way too frequently (every 3 mins or so). I'm just surfing the web and not playing games etc so it shouldn't be making this much noise. Samsung were hopeless over the phone, so any help here would be greatly appreciated.

Some folk dislike the fan on demand you see in most models today. It's not a defect and is quite a common complaint. You should return it for a model that sounds good to you.

Since it is not a defect, Samsung will not be able to help you.

Why are they built like this? They sound awful, its non stop noise. Is there no way to make the fan come on less frequently? I really like the laptop apart from this one flaw, it would be a shame if I had to send it back because of it.

You would look in the BIOS and manuals. But today's models do this on-demand cooling and it can really annoy some consumers. Fix? Return it for something you can stand.

I'll get it sent back then, no way I could put up with this noise. I have not bought a laptop in a few years and im shocked they are made like this.
