Netbooks forum: setup for internet access on 2 different netbooks

You have to get an account with Sprint, Att or another cellular company and after that they should walk you through the setup.

Be sure to have pen and paper handy to record what the Att or Sprint support person does to the PCs. I wonder if videotaping this is a good idea?

This is where your cellular telephone company steps in.

Maybe I took your words literally and you really meant these laptops don't connect but everyone else can? If so it's a warranty issue. The units must be defective as I have little trouble at Starbucks and most hotspots.

I'm going to keep this limited to personal use and not what the company supplies.

We use 2 cellular access methods. I'll share the expensive then the not so expensive method.

1. Sprint. We use their 80 buck a month plan and then some Android phone with EasyTether. First setup cost about 300 bucks.

2. Virgin Mobile. This one is cheap. About 99 bucks for the phone at Target and then we added EasyTether (about 10 bucks) and monthly fees are 35 a month.

You wrote your laptop/netbooks have some cellular feature "Both have internet access hardware built in" so for those you could opt for a trip to the ATT, Sprint, Verizon stores to ask what it takes to use that.
