Here's an interesting one: Headphone jack not working!

Two days ago the headphone jack, not the microphone jack, on my Asus decided to "quit". I tried two different headphones, no luck. So in addition to losing headphone usage for messenger/skype talk, I also lost the ability to use small portable speakers.

I went to Device Manager but can't find it. Any ideas?

Also any ideas on what could be interfering with the hardware?

Could this be a short somewhere? This netbook is used strictly indoors.

...plugging in headphones does NOT disable speakers.
