Hey everyone, I am thinking about buying a netbook. I want something to do a little programming on, play some flash games, and generally just surf the web. I would like it to have decent battery life, but if not I don't mind.
So far I've looked at

These are a very bad idea. For about the mid 250 mark you can get a fairly nice Core 2 Duo refurb full size machine.
Any programmers would die a slow death on the miniature keyboard and screen.

From screen to keyboard to missing cd/dvd drive this is no bargain. I can only guess you have not owned or used one for long.
Again, given the use I can not, in good conscience pick either.

No, I have not had a netbook before and I know that these are both lower end netbooks, but I know it is what I want and I don't want to buy one used so I don't have a ton of options here.

I noted a place I've bought refurb from with 100% success. Your choices are missing the usual CD drive so you find you need that to install many apps.
I add that to your items and we see we are well beyond the price of a nice 14 inch refurb dell that will do what you ask without the downside.,
