hello! Somehow I managed to DIS-ABLE

by ulasaw - 8/27/10 3:11 AM

my ASUS 1000HA/WXP touchpad....
It's movements were way too fast--so I tried to slow them down...
...well--I STOPPED the touchpad from working at all!
I can't get into ANYTHING now.
Can't even OPEN the Control panel or even use the 'START'
button.--no right-left click...
I had to shut it down by closing the cover.
I attempted using the F2/F3 keys--but it loaded as usual.
I have no cd-dvd-drive and no manual mouse.
(I am on my ACER laptop right now).
I still have 1-week in which I can return this to MWAVE--but
I love this netbook! (It has XP along w/OFFICE7-WORKS pre-installed).
there's a RECOVERY CD included (which you can never get anymore) but it's useless to me w/no drive.
Is there any way I can load the "recovery disk' onto THIS ACER
notebook-and somehow transfer the files over to the netbook??

I have very limited tech-skills!
