Gateway or Asus, which should I buy?

My daughter wants a Netbook PC and I went to Bestbuy today to see what they had. I saw 2, a Gateway LT2104u and an Asus 115PEB-RRED01S. The Asus is about $20 more. The specs look about the same with the ASUS appartently having longer battery life. I asked the Geek squad guy which was better and he said the Gateway. Any ideas out there on the forum?

Both have the same processor and 250gb hard drives. The ASUS says it has IntelUMA Graphics, teh Gateway says it has Intel 3150 accelerator.

Anyway, let me know your thoughts.

I noticed there is a Gateway EC1440u which has an 11" display and an Intel Celeron Processor 743 (1.3GHz, 800MHz FSB, 1MBL2 Cache) processor. It also comes with more memory and windows 7 home pro.

How do you think this stacks up to the Gateway LT2104u which comes wiht the Intel Atom Processor N4501 (1.66GHz, 677MHz FSB, 512KB L2 Cache?

Not sure if the Celeron or ATOM are better. Let me know your thoughts.

I recently bought a netbook for my wife, and trust me this seems to be the best one out there. Since i work in Qualcomm, i have been working on nearly all the netbooks released. Out of them all, lenovo S10-3 is the best one which i got for my wife.

The only issue with it is the scroll pad. But that's manageable if all other things are good.

in my university, I'd say 8/10 students who have a netbook have an asus eee pc. They are great, (I have one myself).
