Hi all,
I am going to be purchasing a gaming laptop sometime this year and im trying to figure out what company i should go with, and what hardware i should put in it.
I have a max budget of about $3000 ( would like to keep it as close to this or less than this price if possible). and the laptop has to be a 15-16" screen.
The lap top brands im currently looking at is ORIGIN and MSI.
So far what i am thinking about putting in these laptops is the...
IVY BRIDGE i7 CPU 3820QM
The Nvidia GTX675M with atleast 2gb of DDR5
(Overclocked Graphics card only for Origin)
16GB RAM Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1866MHz (4 X 4GB) (this is only available from Origin)
(FOR THE MSI 16GB (4x4GB) Kingston HyperX DDR3/1600 Dual Channel Memory - CL9)
6X Blu-ray Reader/8X DVD+/-R/2.4X +DL Super-Multi Drive
750GB SATA III 6GB/s 7,200 RPM Hard Drive - Seagate XT NCQ Hybrid w/8GB SSD (FOR THE MSI).....
I am able to get a 2nd hard drive for the MSI and im looking at 500GB SATA II 3GB/s 7,200 RPM Hard Drive
(FOR THE ORIGIN) 750GB SATA 3.0Gb/s, 7200RPM, 16MB Cache HDD
Killer Wireless-N 1103 - Gaming Network Card
For the warranty i want a 3 year if possible, and also the best dead pixel warranty available
Also for the MSI im able to pick a type of screen idk which one i should pick.....
Here are the 2 websites im looking at and where i got this info from........
http://www.powernotebooks.com/configure.php?special=1266
http://www.originpc.com/eon15-s-gaming-laptop-features.asp
If you know of any better cites please let me know, and let me know what you think about my set up. Also let me know if I should consider other brands i.e if one is better than the other.
One last thing another concern that i have is weight for I need it to be portable, because i will be also using it for collage classes.
Thanks all....
