Asus G75VW. Which one do I buy?

by TheDrunkenClam - 5/6/12 11:41 AM

http://promos.asus.com/us/2012GSeries/ I am definitely interested in one of the three choices with the 17" screen (rule out the 15.6"). Though I have a couple of questions regarding specs.
1. I really want a Solid State hard drive for faster booting and running the operating system. According to this, the only one with the SSHD is the -DS72 variant. When watching the few youtube videos that exist for these options, I noticed one person added a SSHD to one of these, and the bottom of the laptop appears to have two bays for hard drives? So can I add an SSHD to either of the two that do not come with it (the -DS71 and -DS73-3D)?
2. If I were to opt for the -DS71 model in order to save a little money, is the GTX 660M still decent compared to the GTX 670M? I have read that the 660M is built on the newer Kepler technology, while the 670M is built on Fermi technology. But the 3G DDR3 seems attractive over the 2G DDR2. Any advice on this?
3. I am a fan of 3D gaming. I have a nice LG 3D TV set already. I like the -DS73-3D model's ability to do 3D right there on the screen, and being able to game in 3D wherever I go, or in my frequent long car trips back home to Ohio. But I also love how the DS72 has a Blu-ray BURNER, and higher ram (16gb vs 12GB). -DS72 also has 256GB Solid State Drive! If I opt for the -DS72 or -DS71, I'll still be able to game in 3D using HDMI output to my LG 3D TV, right? (Such a tough choice).
In closing, the -DS73-3D looks to be very attractive, but how easy will it be to add a Solid State drive, Blu Ray BURNER, and perhaps upgrade the ram down the road? Any information and advice will mean so much to me. Thank you all.
PS, this is my first post, so I hope I've posted in the right place/topic. Please tell me if I have not.
