About upgrading RAM on Qosmio X505-8100X

Hi All,

I just bought the X505-8100X from Amazon.com: http://www.amazon.com/Qosmio-X505-Q8100X-18-4-Inch-Gaming-Laptop/dp/B004GTNCPQ

First off, I am not at all a gamer. I've never played a game. But, I am a programmer and a statistician so I need oomf and I like nice graphics. This machine at that price was just too much FUN to pass up.

Second, as you can see form the link it comes with 4GB of RAM and is expandable to 8GB.

My question is - can I buy the 1600MHz?

Here's the RAM I'd like to buy, if it's doable:

When I went to the Crucial website and clicked through their memory advisor it gave me a list of compatible RAM. And the one that was recommended was the 1333MHz. But the 1600 was right below.

Which, of course, makes me think it's do-able.

But, what I want to ask y'all is:

1. Anyone done it?
2. Would you recommend it (regardless of my usage) based on the motherboard of the machine?

Lastly, I don't yet have the machine. It should be here tomorrow and I am soooooooo excited to check it out!

According to this: http://ark.intel.com/products/52224/Intel-Core-i5-2410M-Processor-(3M-Cache-2_30-GHz)

The processor for my new machine only supports 1333MHz.

So, I will upgrade from 4GB to 8GB using the supported RAM.

Some get upset when there is no gain from installing faster memory. Just a reminder.

and most of what I've read is that it helps on the graphics end if not the speed.

It's okay, either way. I just like to upgrade stuff and RAM is pretty cheap.
