Which Processor is best for gaming?

I am in the process of replacing my laptop. I am planning to purchase a gaming laptop. Right now Hewlett Packard recommended to me the
HP Pavilion dv6zqe Quad Edition series laptop with the Advanced Micro Devices AMD Quad-Core A8-3530MX Accelerated Processor (2.6GHz/1.9GHz, 4MB L2 Cache). HP told me this processor would do better for gaming than the Intel processors,However the Intel i7 quad-core processors seemed to have more power than the AMD. I am not a 24/7 gamer, but I want a processor that will work both efficiently and reliably when I play massive multiplayer online role-playing games on the web with high graphics and performance settings. Is this AMD processor the best option or is there a better processor Intel, such as the i7 series? Thanks.

I've found the CPU is not the factor we look at for gamings.

Today I'd take a look at the test results rather than try to guess which is best by picking the CPU which has less effect than the GPU.
