Gaming laptops forum: Slowdown on battery?

You should find battery time to plummet if you fix it. In Windows 7 head the control panel and look at power profiles. Look at the one with AC versus battery and adjust as you see fit.

Given the 300 cycle life span of the average battery, isn't gameplay on battery a bit expensive?

You are in the right area but I can't write tutorials here. That would duplicate the web. But you are very close to kicking it up at the expense of buying batteries every few months.

But to pull 10+ AMPERES from your average 12 volt socket means only the cigarette lighter socket may work. Those in the rear of the car often only supply a few Amps.

But the 120 Watt supply is the right size. Just get them to tell you what tips to use.

Most airplane power systems are limited to approximately 75 Watts of power draw per seat.

This is not a solution you should invest in.

Yeah I've tried high performance and whatnot, it just isn't going to work the same on battery I've realized--its a pretty high-end notebook. I think I'll go ahead and try to find a car & plane adapter to make do, since I really only need battery for plane rides and such.

Though I'm not sure it'll work with my laptop. Do you know if it will given the specs? Thanks for all the help by the way--after I figure this out I'll be good.
