100 dollars off the Qosimo X505 -Q870?

I have been toying with the idea of getting one of these machines (Qosimo X505 -Q870). And today (2/7/2010) i have noticed on Toshiba's Direct site, that they are giving 100 dollar instant savings on this rig. Seems like a ploy to empty the stocks to make room for an Hardware update. This is still a great deal, and the machine is fairly advanced, but I'd hate to buy it only to find that there's an update that makes mine obsolete right out of the shoots. Has anyone heard of an update to this line in the works? What would you do in a this situation? Should I just wait to find out, or dive in?

Right around the corner. Many haven't figured this out and will fret about that. So there it is. Here's my take. All units that don't run on Atom, i3, i5, or i7 (Intel lines) are going away.

its running A core i7, i was just wondering if anyone with their ear to the ground had heard of a possibly significant update to the line. if the processors are going to stay the same i might as well take the hit, everything else is relative.
