Tablets forum: Ipad 4 (with retina display) versus Nexus 10?

Ever since I bought and returned an Asus TF300 during Black Friday I have been out researching tablets because I wanted a faster tablet. I have been back and forth between Nexus 10 and Ipad 4. I have read up on reviews, watch video comparisons and everything. My intended use for a tablet include video/music/photo storage, gaming, and web surfing (so basically everything). I want to like an Android because I have an iphone and frankly I find the ipad UI very boring. I am trying to decide with no bias for either OS I know some people here are die hard android and would never consider anything Apple (the people that would take a rock with Android stamped on it then an apple product) and vice versa. I just want an unbiased just simply looking at the tablet experience overall. So here is the breakdown of both sides, let me know what you all think.

Ipad 4 versus Nexus 10 (on paper)
Processor:
Ipad 4 - 1.4GHz A6X Dual Core
Nexus 10 - 1.7GHz Exynos (Samsung) ARM Architecture

Ram:
Ipad 4 - 1GB
Nexus 10 - 2GB

Screen:
Ipad 4- 264 PPI 2048x1536 9,7" screen
Nexus 10 - 300 PPI 2560x1600 10.1" screen

Storage:
Ipad 4 - 16gb (Assuming $500 model)
Nexus 10 - 32gb ($500)
Both cannot be expanded (internally with a SD card or something similar) but both have external storage options (Nexus 10 having a little more).

Battery:
I've heard mixed things about this, heard one report say that the Nexus 10 gets better battery life (hard to believe considering the better resolution). However it could be conceivable because of such a large battery.
Ipad 4 - 11 Hours
Nexus 10 - 9 hours

Also note that Ipad 4 charges faster.



Now for the intangible benefits:
Ipad 4 - Since the Ipad has been in tablet (and arguably started the tablet craze) for much longer it has a leg up in terms of app and the over all ecosystem (including accessories).
-Apple is the only exclusive manufacture and the parts for the Ipad are designed specifically for the device. This means that the overall system runs smoother and more consistent (probably has something to do with the overly simple UI). Also since Apple has the rights to the iOS and no one else can make a tablet, other companies are not competing within the same OS.
-Customer support is better and the availability to get your Ipad fixed or replaced is better.
-The Ipad also has a better resale value.
-Updates for the OS is faster and covers all devices.

Nexus 10 - The UI allows more customization and the apps are on a open market. Apps such as emulators cannot be found on the Ipad (unless Jailbroken which there hasn't been an easy way to do this on the iOS6 yet).

So here are my concerns:
Like I said I want to like an Android and honestly ideally Apple's ecosystem is where Android ideally would like to be. Yes Android is catching up but will it really catch up? Right now there are only a handful of apps that take advantage of the 10 inch screen of the tablets on android and it does not seem like programmers are eager to introduce more right now. Could be because the android tablet is still in its infancy but will it actually take off? 99% of the apps on Android market right now are designed for phones because Android phones far out number Iphones (because there are so many manufacturers and Android phones are cheaper). It is also not promising that Google/Asus just released the first accessory that takes advantage of the pogo connector on the bottom of the n7 and n10 (the accessory is technically for n7) so it took them half a year to release something that uses that connector. In my opinion that's pathetic and is that indication of what to expect in the future? Google is losing money every year from its Android os. the market is too open and people are creating their own OS that bypasses Google's and Google is not making money on it. Therefore is Google going to continue to put more and more money into the Android for market share even though they are not profiting directly from it? Is it stable?
