Confusion between Ipad 3 and Samsung note 10.1

Hi Guys,

I want to buy new tablet but really confused between Ipad 3 and samsung note 10.1. I want to buy Ipad 3 for sure but Samsung S pen created the confusion for me. I am creative person so it involves lots of writing (Pages like writer), note taking and designing. Except this features i don't see why I should go for Samsung 10.1. So if you guys can tell me I can do same work with Ipad 3 I will be very glad (With same quality). Also if possible let me know why I should I go for samsung. Apple as a brand bring great social status which is also important for me.

I guess that can be a factor for some but given how poor the note taking is, I replaced my tablet with a paper notebook and pen. Not only do I not fumble with the apps but by pencil's battery never seems to run dry.
