Is this still worth buying? Can get a refurb for $220, but now I think it may be too low resolution by today's standards. I don't want nexus 7. Drop tests show it to be the most fragile of name brand tablets I have 5 pets and tails have knocked over my nook color - and it keeps ticking.

The only knock I hear about Android tabs is the software issues. Fans tend to downplay it so be sure to find folk that can bring it up without dis'ing the rest.

A few Sam tabs I've run into get a small complaint about things like they update the OS and the Ereader app fails in odd ways. Since it's Android you can use other Ereader apps but some folk are not as resilient and don't want to try that.

Is it foolish to buy a tablet at 1024 by 600 resolution when the new standard for 7 inch tablets is 1280 by 800?

Just today I updated an old app for my client on a Palm PDA that uses a 160x160 pixel screen. Is that foolish?
