Tablets forum: How do i print from my iPad?

I just looked into this myself today and found a program that works great for me. It's not an app that you can buy in the appstore, but it's an app that you can download to either a mac or pc that is connected to your printer. It's called FingerPrint2.

They do offer a free trial period, which is what I downloaded today. If you want full features and no watermarks, you can pay $20.00 for a full license. You just download the program to your mac or pc, install it, and then reboot your iPad. When you are on a website, document, photo, etc.....the option to print will be available automatically. Well, this is as long as it's on the same wifi network. You select "print" and then select the printer you want to print to and it prints. There aren't a bunch of options, but it works great for me. I d/l the free trial, but I MIGHT end up buying the licsense. This program will work with MOST printers, even wireless ones, as long as it's on your wifi network. I have a Canon MP620 and it automatically detected it. I was able to select this printer when I clicked print, to send the print job to this particular printer, and it worked just fine. You can always try it out free first and if you like it, then you can buy the license so that it doesn't print out their watermark on everything. Their site does say it might not work with EVERY printer, but since it's free, you could always try it out anyway.

Your printer doesn't look like it's on the list of compatible printers with AirPrint.

At least this info will give you an idea of what is required.

I downloaded the apps "Print Central" and "Print n Share". They are both either free or very inexpensive. Either one should print to your current printer. The only drawback is if there is something you need to print, it has to be opened using this app.

My Kodak Office Hero 6.1 is compatible with Google Cloud Print; so is your Hero 7.1. Why complicate matters? Why not use Google Cloud Print? I've used it on several occasions with my iPhone & it works fine. JMHO

This software loads onto a desktop which must be part of a local network to which your iPad also belongs. The printer must be registered (wired or wirelessly) onto that desktop. After trying most of the junk available thru the App Store, this is the ONLY software for the problem that works flawlessly!!

There are the simple use of printer like others you use there was a same wizard present for printing setup and when you run the setup wizard you can easily print the documents.
