How to get Scrabble to work on Kindle Fire?

For several days now, when I try to play Scrabble on my Kindle Fire, it starts to update & then, comes up with "something went wrong Pull down to update". I do that, only to get the message again, or it just keeps updating, but never finishes. In days prior, I played without problems.
