Hello, I am wondering if there is a device which will consolidate the various functions I use most and will travel with me, especially overseas.
I am using a laptop to browse the internet and email, and to listen to internet radio. And I have an small mutant internet radio on which I also listen to internet radio. I also listen a lot to my own music ripped from CDs on an MP3 player. I read a lot on a Kindle.
I think it would be better if I had just one thing to schlep along with me when I travel. Is a tablet the answer? Any pros and cons?
I am not a technophobe, but I believe computing devices should be like cars - you have to learn to steer, and change gears, but you don't have to understand the internal combustion engine. So, I want something that is not too complicated to use. And I have not good eyesight so I can't use a screen that has tiny type, and I want decent sound for listening to classical music.
I would be grateful for any advice.
