Android tablets vs iPad

Hi!

I currently have an Asus Transformer tablet and I love it. I always loved Android, had a blast with it on my last mobile phone and found it way more powerful than iOS.

But I'm encountering one big reality check right now : application-wise the android market has a very small selection of application designed for tablets.

I always hear good stuff about iPad's apps and always saw (when I had an iPhone) that almost any iPhone application had an iPad version.

I don't want "adaptations", I know some apps can get rendered for a tablet but facebook and twitter on my Android tablet are just a waste of space in comparison with Facebook's iPad app.

I've been running on Mac and iOS for years but two years ago I switched back to something else. So I have a very good understanding of iOS.

So now the question, in your opinion, should I switch to an IPad?

There are folk that may get upset over the articles about how Android seems to be stalling in sales and iPad keeps accumulating new users and setting new records.

But apps tend to be a little less on the Android for the same reason why Android is popular. The fact that there are no less than 100 form factors and some have buttons, some do not create developer distractions and mean the app might be less polished since we had to spend time testing on 100 machines versus less than 5.

I think your asus transformer is enough, you can add more apps to make your android tab more better. but if you have much money, you can purchase iPad too.
