E Readers and PDFs (and other text)

Hello --

I have a lot of pdfs and .docs, .rtfs to read and would love your recommendations for readers that use reflow rather than zoom to view such documents. I'd also like the ability to annotate though that is not critical - comfortable reading is.

It looks like you want a Windows 8 RT tablet. Nothing else will come close.

It looked close until a certain point. The office is porting Android apps so I get to see and test a few more tablets than I care for but even the fairly high end units such as the Transformer might not do all you asked. I'd look at the Windows 8 RT or Surface and then think again about a smallish laptop. I've traveled with smaller laptops such as an 11 inch and it went well. And it didn't cost as much as some tablets.

Yes - I've started looking at tablets, especially the IPad and Mini. Pricey and more than (I think) I need but nice. The only thing I'm pretty sure of is that I will not go the phone route (!)

iPad is a great choice...

Yes, the iPad is a great choice, I have an iPad 3 and I really like it for reading. And then there are a lot more capabilities that one can make use of when one isn't reading *smile*. I've also heard good things about the Nexus 10, so I'd be checking that out as well. If you're concerned with price, the Nexus 7 might be a good one to look at. The iPad Mini doesn't seem to cost that much less than a regular iPad.

You said you have a lot of e-books which are the different formats. You are annoyed by which one eBook reader can not read all kinds of e-books. Actually, this is a inconvenience. Fortunately, I have a way to resolve this trouble. If you think about it carefully, you may understand that you can convert the eBooks that your e-reader can not read to the eBook formats which can be read by the e-reader you owned, then your trouble is so easy to be solved. Do not you think this way is so cool ? But there are so many eBook Converter listing on CNET which is the best one that can satisfied your requirement well. I guess that you may not have a idea. I am eBook software developer and strongly recommended a perfect tool called Epubor listing on CNET to the eBook fans. I promise you will love to use it.
