I am in the market for an inexpensive replacement for my ancient laptop. I really only use it for reading via my kindle pc account, web browsing and processing simple spreadsheets for work. I am leaning toward the Kindle Fire, My major concern is the access to spreadsheets, etc if I do not have a wi-fi connection when i am away from my home wireless network. Are you able to store spreadsheets, etc on it locally or is the memory completely cloud based?? Is it the same with the Nook tablet too??
